RIAA officially goes insane
They’ve gone and done it. The RIAA, who have made no secret that they believe ripping your OWN CD’s to your computer is taking food from their mouths, is actually SUING a user for doing just that. For the life of me I can’t fathom what they hope to accomplish with such a stance and with such a suit. One outcome I can hope for is that the judge in the case will mercilessly hammer them in this case, then the plaintiff will countersue and make an example out of these morons.
I don’t know what the answer is for the labels. Their business has fundamentally changed and they don’t know what to do. I can appreciate that, but I seriously doubt that suing your customers is the right answer.
