Presentation greatness

Guy Kawasaki does a fair bit if writing about presentations and I absolutely eat it up because I think he is one of the better people you could hope to pattern your presentation skill after. He recently posted an interview with Garr Reynolds, author of Presentation Zen: Simple Ideas on Presentation Design and Delivery (Voices That Matter) that offers a lot of insight into how to approach a presentation and what makes you effective. I haven’t read this book but after reading the interview it is definitely on my list.

If you are interested in presentations and observing as many different styles as possible, then you are absolutely required to bookmark TED and visit often. The TED talks are amazing, and some of the great minds of our generation participate (Do the names Jane Goodall and Burt Rutan ring a bell?). New talks are posted each week. They are each as unique as snowflakes, and you can learn something from every one of them even if you have absolutely no interest in the particular subject matter. Start by watching David Gallo talk about amazing deep sea creatures.
