As long as I’m on an energy theme…
I didn’t realize that part of the newly passed energy bill was a ban on incandescent lights as we know them. I can’t help but think this is a bit ill advised given the environmental problems with CFL’s, but I am hopeful that it will drive LED bulbs to reasonable prices. I’m a big fan of LED lighting but the prices are just silly for anything that comes close to the lumen output of a conventional bulb.
On a related note, I might not need the personal nuclear reactor thanks to Nanosolar who has introduced the fist solar panels at less than $1 per Watt
